Member Event - The State of the Art Market with Ed Beardsley (Heritage Auctions)

  • Business Council for the Arts 8687 North Central Expressway, Suite 2131 Dallas, Texas 75225 (map)

Are you seeing new art hanging from the walls of your colleague's home office? You're not alone! Despite the grim and well-documented realities of COVID-19's impact on the arts and culture sector, art sales are on the rise, especially among millennials. Whether looking to invest in a passion, support a favorite artist or bring a fresh perspective to the office, collectors are finding plenty of reasons to buy.

What inspired this shift and where are the art and auction markets headed? How has the prevalence of e-commerce during the pandemic impacted access to fine art?

Join us and hear from Ed Beardsley, Vice President and Managing Director, Fine & Decorative Arts at Heritage Auctions, on the state of the arts market in 2021.
